Herb Blackened Tilapia Fish

with Long Grain Rice and Greens

This is a high carb meal | Nutrition coming soon

This is an advanced order recipe and will be available for fulfillment on the 4th of March, Wednesday.

After multiple test rounds using different proteins and temperatures, we finally decided on the tilapia fish because for one, it truly held up to the texture we wanted – firm, yet tender.

Contrary to its unfortunate string of bad rep, the tilapia fish is actually one of the best sources of clean fish given its lean nature and high protein count. A while back, there were a number of reports on unethical farms in China where, like many other farmed fish, farmed tilapia in overcrowded waters caused it to have little access to feed.

That’s changed now, but more importantly, we’re proud to carry tilapia from ethical fish farms and can be certain of its quality and grade. Just like our sausages and beef, we believe responsibly sourced food can go along way for both us and the environment. Whoohoo!

You can opt to use your own kitchenware or just place our black trays in the steamer directly.
If you use our trays, peel open the seal slightly from a corner. Place the tray in the steamer for 10 -15 minutes.
As all steamers function differently (you may have electric ones, vs metal plates over boiling water), we advise you to check on your food and give it a good stir.

Microwave: (Recommended)
Open the seal slightly from a corner of your meal.
Place the tray in the microwave for 2.5 to 3 minutes on Medium setting.
As the microwave timing varies from meal to meal, please refer to the corresponding labels on the meal.

Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees.
Transfer contents to oven-proof tray, our plastic trays are not oven proof.
Place contents in the oven for 7-10 minutes.
